What can REO agents do to speed up the process of a typical bank foreclosure/REO for their Clients?

Nowadays more and more asset managers are looking to move their ever increasing inventory of REO (Real Estate Owned) properties from their portfolios in and timely and efficient manner. As REO Agents we play an important role in making this happen. From the initial occupancy check through the selling of the asset (In this case REO) REO Agents need to have the right set of tools in place to make this a smooth transaction. For example in the initial occupancy check REO Agents need to know their local and state laws in regards to notices to give and procedures to follow if they do find an asset empty with personal property. In some states if you find a property with personal property you automatically have to place an asset on hold and give owners a certain amount of time to reclaim. If not the agent must be able to advise on the best way to dispose of property.
